The Prime Minister visits the Customs Authority

The Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates, Dr. Ahmed Awad bin Mubarak, today , An inspection visit to the Customs Authority Presidency in the temporary capital, Aden, To review the progress of work in this vital department, which is an important contributor to the national economy.

The Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs toured all departments and units of the Customs Authority. He listened to an explanation from its leadership and employees about the role it plays in strengthening the partnership with the commercial community and achieving the satisfaction of service recipients. As well as implementing an effective and strong customs control system that protects and secures the Yemeni community from all risks of smuggling.

Dr. Ahmed Awad bin Mubarak briefed: From the leadership and cadres of the Authority on the ongoing development and modernization plans for its customs departments in the governorates and land, sea and air ports, Developing customs revenues and increasing the efficiency and effectiveness of their collection.

He also visited the customs training center at the authority. He met with the participants in the training course on combating smuggling and its dangers, which is held in cooperation with the Maritime Security Office.

Through the Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, Expressing his appreciation for the interest and organization he observed in the work of the Presidency of the Customs Authority, It is important that this is also reflected in the customs offices and departments affiliated with it in the governorates. Stressing that interest in developing customs and tax revenues is one of the government’s top priorities.

He also urged employees of the Customs Service and all revenue departments to exert their utmost efforts with honesty and integrity and to represent the interest of the nation and citizens in all their work. Stressing that the government and the Presidential Leadership Council will not tolerate any negligence, imbalances, or corruption with any leader or public employee.
