Post customs review workshop in Jordan

The meeting of the value managers in the customs departments was concluded today at the Authority’s office, which was inaugurated by His Excellency the Minister of Finance, Mr. Salem Saleh bin Brik, and the head of the Authority, Mr. Abdul Hakim Al-Qubati, and came out with important recommendations aimed at updating the value guide for cars, trailers, and equipment, and activating the updated guide in the database of the automated system for cars and equipment in all ports and customs departments To standardize the procedures for collecting legal fees, with activating the role of monitoring cars that have reports and referring them to the competent authorities.

The post-review training workshop was concluded today in the Jordanian capital, Amman, in which six customs officials participated, including two female employees, headed by the Director General of the Customs Office, Aden Abdul Hakim Amer, with the support of the International Monetary Fund.

The workshop, which lasted for a full week, targeted post-audit managers and specialists from the capital, Aden, and customs outlets. The workshop discussed many topics related to post-audit, including customs assessment and types of risks, in addition to risk indicators, value agreement, and other topics.

In addition, a customs team consisting of 13 male and female employees is participating in a training workshop in the Republic of Kazakhstan, headed by the Technical Agent, Mr. Abdullah Al-Habashi, in the field of inspection procedures and deterring customs violations, with the support of the US Export Control and Border Security Program.
