In continuation of the cooperation between YCA and international organizations and in implementation of the Customs plan in rehabilitation and training, YCA, in cooperation with the International Monetary Fund, implemented a training course in SOLASS for five employees of the automated system at the Customs Authority Office, Free Zone Customs and Al Wada’ah Customs in the UAE city of Dubai.
The course lasted for five days and aimed to support customs systems to maintain the smooth flow of trade and support robust government applications in preparation for joining the International Trade Facilitation Agreement as one of our country’s commitments to the World Trade Organization (WTO).
The training also comes in preparation for the implementation of the global ASYCUDA system at customs ports.
The training course was attended by Akram Mohammed Saeed, Automated System Manager at Al Wadiah Customs, Mohammed Al Ameri, Automated System Manager at Free Zone Customs, Ammar Ali Ibrahim, Network Manager at the Presidency, and Ziad Al Qahtani and Salah Al Saad, Automated System Specialists at the Presidency.
The two-week course will be completed online.
