Signing a contract for the rehabilitation and asphalt project at Shahn Customs, self-financed by the Customs Authority

In accordance with the government’s directive to pay attention to land ports, and based on the approval of the Minister of Finance, Mr. Salem Saleh bin Breik, Mr. Mohammed Ali Yasser, Governor of Al-Mahrah, and the supervision of the head of the Customs Authority, Mr. Abdulhakim Al-Qabati, and the efforts and follow-up made by Mr. Thabet Awad Mubarak, Director General of Shahn Land Port Customs.
The Director General of Shahn Land Port Customs in Al-Mahra Governorate, Thabit Awad Mubarak, signed a contract for the rehabilitation and asphalting of the Shahn Customs yard with Al-Mahra Deputy Governor Salem Abdullah Nimer, today.
The project, which cost $453,243, includes asphalting the cargo inspection yard at the customs, as well as the construction of an inspection bench.
During the meeting, the Secretary-General reviewed the procedures and items of the project study and the rest of the needs, directing the competent authorities to raise the remaining and additional works.
For his part, the Director General of Shahn Customs praised the keen interest and follow-up given by the Ministry of Finance, represented by H.E. Mr. Salem Saleh bin Breik and the head of the Customs Authority, Mr. Abdulhakim Al-Qabati, to finance and complete this project, which will solve many issues at the port, praising the cooperation of the leadership of the local authority in the governorate.
The contract signing was attended by Khalid Abdullah bin Dahman, deputy director general of financial affairs for the projects and equipment sector at the Customs Authority in Aden; Issam Atta, deputy director of Shahn Customs; Obaid bin Atour, acting director general of roads and bridges in the governorate; and Munif Ahmed al-Zoumli, director of the Road Maintenance Fund Center in the governorate.
