Customs Clearance

To obtain a license to practice the customs clearance profession

Conditions for providing the service

The applicant for the  service card must be Yemeni and not less than twenty-five years old
– To have a permanent office in the region in which it carries out his activity, and to be automatically linked to the automated system
– He must be sufficiently qualified to practice the profession
– He must not have been dismissed from any state department for misbehavior, irresponsibility, or poor performance, or sentenced to a punishment prejudicial to honor and honesty, unless his reputation has been restored.
– To submit an acceptable guarantee to the Customs Authority
– The broker does not have any major violations or violations when requesting renewal through the reports of the broker’s performance automated system and the departments he deals with.

The required documents:
– Submit an official note requesting a customs clearance card or renewal
– Identification card
– License to practice the profession
– Certificate of attendance at the training course on clearance at Customs Training Center (CTC)
– A memorandum from any customs department confirming the card applicant’s experience with any broker for a period of not less than three years
– A commercial guarantee approved by the Chamber of Commerce
– Commercial register for companies, institutions and individuals
– Tax Number
– Tax card when requesting renewal

Customs procedures

– Submitting the application to the Administrative Affairs Department, or to the authorized branches departments
– Reviewing the application by the General Department of Legal Affairs and issue the card
– Paying  service fees
– Certification of the clearance card by the head of the department or his authorized representative or the authorized customs offices
When requesting renewal, the required documents must be submitted renewed, including the warranty and tax card, and a memorandum from the customs office where the broker works must be attached.

Conditions for providing the service

– The applicant must be an importer, exporter, or customs broker, whether a natural or legal person
– To have the documents and documents required to practice work
– To adhere to customs regulations and instructions
– Providing a computer with its accessories that are compatible with running the ICYCUDA program, and having a fixed telephone line
The required documents:
– Submitting an official request from the service applicant
– Identification card
– Tax Number
– Customs clearance card for brokers

– A copy of the lease contract if the office is within the customs department

Customs procedures

– Submit the application with attachments to the General Administration of the Automated System headed by the concerned customs authority or ports
– Review the application with documents and conditions
– Visit the site and link it to the automated system
– Activating and operating the automated system program and training specialists at the entity requesting the service

– If the entity requesting the service is a governmental entity related to customs work, it must submit an official memorandum to the Customs Authority linking the service to the required permitted authorities based on a report signed between customs and these entities.
