Customs seized 864,000 ginseng capsules at Sarfit customs

In implementation of the government’s directives to combat smuggling, Based on the directives of His Excellency the Minister of Finance, Mr. Salem Saleh Bin Brik, and the Head of the Customs Authority, Mr. Abdul Hakim Al-Qubati, not to neglect the entry of goods with the security and health of the citizen, Sarfeet customs officials were able to seize 864,000 smuggled ginseng capsules that were hidden among other goods.
The Director General of Sarfeet Customs, Mr. Ahmed Bakrit, confirmed that Sarfeet Customs will not allow the passage of any shipments that violate the law, whether for medical purposes or otherwise. The qualification and training carried out by the Customs Authority for employees played a major role in detecting and controlling contraband through customs.
The Supreme Authority for Medicines warned against taking the preparation because it is unofficial, of unknown origin, and is marketed with misleading medical claims.
