Our country, represented by the Yemeni Customs Authority, participated in the 30th meeting of the Committee on Customs Procedures and Information, held in the Arab Republic of Egypt with a delegation headed by Mr. Mohsen Qahtan, Director General of the Free Zone Customs Counselor Anwar Zamzam, commercial officer at our embassy in Cairo .

The 30th meeting of the Committee on Customs Procedures and Information was held at the headquarters of the General Secretariat of the League of Arab States from February 7-9, 2023, with the participation of the Arab States members of the Greater Arab Free Trade Area.

The meeting discussed the questionnaire on the readiness of Arab customs ports for the exchange of customs information electronically through the Arab Customs Information Center, as well as the targeted automated systems, fields and data to be exchanged electronically. The Arab Guide to Prior Provisions was also reviewed, and regulations and procedures for customs warehouses in the Arab Republic of Egypt were presented. The Unified Arab Guide to Conditions and Procedures for Granting Licenses and Practicing Customs Clearance in the Arab States was also reviewed and its annexes.
