Based on the directives of His Excellency the Minister of Finance, Mr. Salem Saleh Binbureik and The YCA chairman decision Mr. Abdulhakim Al-Qubati, to assign YCA deputy of enforcement affairs with a customs team from the relevant departments to go to Al-Mahrah Governorate in order to closely inspect the level of workflow ,the performance of employees in Almaharah customs ports. The customs team arrived firstly at Shahen Customs port  in Al Mahra Governorate, to view the workflow at it. They were welcomed by the Customs Director General Mr. Thabet Awad Mubarak.

The customs team held Meetings with the Director General of the Customs port, department heads and  deputies. YCA Deputy of enforcement affairs transmitted  Greetings from His Excellency the Minister of Finance and YCA chairman to all customs leaders and employees. The meeting emphasized the continuation of efforts to improve customs work and to combat all kinds of smuggling  in order to achieve more.

The customs team reviewed the work performance of the customs departments , the infrastructure projects implemented by the support of the Customs Authority and the necessary needs to improve customs work. the team also listened to an explanation of the achievements made by the customs during the past period, highlighted the difficulties and obstacles faced by the customs, and the necessary needs to overcome any difficulties and improve the level of customs work.

the general manager of Shahen customs port expressed his appreciation for all YCA efforts and support provided to improve customs work at Shahen Customs . He emphasized that this visit represented the department’s approach to identify issues and obstacles and provide solutions. He also thanked the leadership of the local authority in Al-Mahrah for its cooperation for the success of Shahn Customs’ missions.
